When?

This upcoming March (March 12th, 13th 1971), the up-and-coming Allman Brothers Band will be performing at Fillmore East in NYC. This will be their first headlining performance at the historical music hall but blues fans will remember their memorable performances opening up for B.B. King and Buddy Guy last year.

Why?

There are some rumors that the band will be recording these performances for a possible new live album to be released later this year. When asked about these rumors, Duane Allman responded, “…a lightbulb finally went off; we needed to make a live album.” This performance could be something special for this growing ensemble.
